About Us

Zion is a community of believers who have been gathering in Lexington since 1745. As part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we are committed to serving our community, inspired by our faith in Jesus Christ. We hope you will feel welcomed and loved as you get to know us better.

Zion is located on 17 acres overlooking the Saluda River, just a half‑mile off Highway 378 at I‑20 in Lexington, near River Bluff High School. Our architecturally unified campus includes a beautiful historic sanctuary that seats 350, an education building, and a 22,000‑square‑foot Family Life Center (FLC) with classrooms, a gymnasium, a youth lounge, and a commercial kitchen.

Behind the FLC, you’ll find a large Scout lodge, a ball field, and wooded acreage. Our administrative offices are housed in the renovated former parsonage. Zion is also blessed with an on‑site cemetery, providing a sacred and free resting place for members who choose to be interred here.
