Karen wasn't born in SC, and didn't move to her "hometown" until she was almost nine years old, but she considers herself a proud product of Gilbert, SC. After high school, Karen attended Lander University where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree and went on to teach music at Saluda Middle School.
Although she left the classroom before her first child was born, she continued teaching private music lessons and serving as her church music director for over twenty years. Karen and her husband of 25 years, Eric, have three lovely daughters that all love to dance and make sure their parents are never bored!
Karen enjoys singing, playing piano, Broadway musicals, cross-stitch, diamond art, and Disney (both going to WDW, and helping others plan trips).
